Classic or vintage
While the Honor 200 Pro looks like a stylish phone, the design gives me feelings of novelty. I admit this may just be me, but something about the broach-shaped camera module (presumably inspired by… Gaudi “Casa Mila”) and Ocean Cyan, the swirling mother-of-pearl color made me imagine Grandma fishing it out of her handbag. nothing mistake With the design, I feel bad trying to do something different with the camera module, but it’s just not for me.
The 200 Pro is light and thin, curved front and back within an aluminum frame. It is very comfortable to hold. But I’m tired of the curved screens and inevitable accidental touches. I have no other complaints about the 6.78-inch AMOLED display. The resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels is very sharp The refresh rate is up to 120 Hz, which is bright enough for outdoor reading (Honor claims peak brightness of 4,000 nits, but that seems optimistic). The sound quality of the stereo speakers is also impressive.

The under-display fingerprint sensor proved to be fast and responsive. I’m not keen on dual unlocking for the front camera, and there’s no 3D time-of-flight sensor, so the 200 Pro doesn’t feature the secure face unlock of its more expensive sibling. The 200 Pro scores a score IP65 ratingWhich means rain and spills are probably fine, but you should avoid submersion.
The 200 Pro is based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, intended for the mid-range segment. Somewhat confusingly, it’s a step down from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but I doubt many people will feel the lack of processing power. The 200 Pro felt fast, and mostly stayed quiet while playing games like Asphalt 9: Legends. Honor has generously set the 200 Pro with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Portrait photography
The Honor 200 Pro has a triple-lens main camera that combines a 50-megapixel main camera with a fairly large 1/1.3-inch image sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a dedicated Sony IMX 856 sensor capable of 2.5X optical zoom. And a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera can also handle macro photography. Honor has made a ton of portraits for this phone, which were developed with the help of Studio Harcourt. True to this theme, there is a 50-megapixel front camera with a 2-megapixel lens for depth sensing.
Honor has been quick to introduce AI features into its phones, and the 200 Pro has a built-in ‘Portrait Engine’, which should make the most of shadow and light to help you define the artistic style you want with your portraits. There’s also a Harcourt Portrait mode in the camera app that lets you choose between vibrant, colorful, or classic (black and white) modes, but it only works with the main camera, not the front-facing selfie camera.
