Square-Enix old meets new Reformulate Dragon Quest III Coming November 14 on Switch. In addition, the HD-2D remake will be joined next year by re-releases of the previous two titles in the trilogy, Dragon Quest I And Dragon Quest IIUsing the same innovative engine. The announcements came during Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct, which also brought news about The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Metroid Prime 4 And Donkey Kong Country Returns.

the Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake The trailer and screenshots showcase the wonders of the game engine, combining 16-bit style sprites and textures with modern environmental effects. The engine stays true to the original look and feel of the old games but uses modern touches to make them prettier. Square-Enix has already used this technology Traveler Octopath And Its sequelalong with Triangle strategythe Live the remake alive And the opera scene in Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster.

Releasing the third game in the trilogy seems odd at first, but the prequel, originally released in 1988, was the first chronologically in the game world. The HD-2D remaster of the first two entries, which were initially available in 1986 and 1987, will arrive as a single game sometime in 2025.
