SpaceX It has a new option for users who want to take satellite internet with them.
It’s called the Starlink Mini, and it’s a smaller version of the Starlink antenna. SpaceX says (via CNBC) It’s a “compact, portable kit that can easily fit into a backpack,” which provides “high-speed, low-latency Internet on the go.”
The new antenna, which costs $599, has not been widely advertised on SpaceX’s website or social media channels yet. Instead, SpaceX is sending out emails to its customers, offering the Starlink Mini as a limited edition.
According to SpaceX’s Vice President of Starlink Engineering, Michael Nichols, the company is currently working to ramp up production of the Mini, which will be available in international markets “soon.”

Notably, the Starlink Mini is more expensive than the standard Starlink antenna, which costs $499. But in its email to customers, SpaceX said its goal was to lower the price of the Mini, without going into detail.
