Two weeks ago, Apple unveiled hundreds of new features that we’re excited to bring to our users around the world. We are very passionate about making these technologies accessible to all users. However, given the regulatory uncertainties caused by the Digital Markets Act (DMA), we don’t think we’ll be able to roll out three of these features – iPhone Mirroring, SharePlay Screen Sharing improvements, and Apple Intelligence – in the EU. users this year.
Specifically, we are concerned that DMA interoperability requirements may force us to compromise the integrity of our products in ways that threaten user privacy and data security. We are committed to cooperating with the European Commission in an effort to find a solution that will enable us to offer these features to our EU customers without compromising their safety.
